Meet Valerie Rouse, LMT
Valerie’s interest in massage therapy grew out of her own experience with chronic pain. As she began learning more about health, wellness, and different ways to feel better, she also discovered how much she enjoyed helping others.
She went on to graduate from the Center of Advanced Therapeutics in Denver, Colorado, in 2002. Since then, Valerie has spent more than two decades working with clients in chiropractic offices, physical therapy practices, and accident clinics, giving her experience with people from a wide range of backgrounds and needs. She offers deep tissue massage, neuromuscular (medical) massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and cupping along with special training in rotator cuff release.
Care Built Around You
Valerie blends her tools and techniques to create a custom approach for each client’s individual needs. She treats every session as a partnership, working with you on the areas that concern you most, whether that’s tension, sore spots, or limited movement. Techniques like pin and stretch let her balance relaxation with a more hands-on approach.
What a Session Looks Like
Valerie starts by listening to understand what you’re feeling and where, whether your discomfort is long-standing or more recent. Her training is based in Travell, Simons & Simons’ Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: The Trigger Point Manual, and she draws on it to identify the muscle groups involved and shape your session around them.
Driven by Passion and Community
What Valerie finds most fulfilling is helping people who are living with chronic pain and dysfunction. She is inspired by her clients’ success stories and believes in offering a “healing hand” to everyone who walks through the door.
Outside of work, Valerie enjoys gardening, cooking, and researching and learning about health. She stays active and treasures time with her grandkids and family.
