Meet Rhori Whaples, Massage Therapist

Rhori found her way to massage therapy the long way around. Back in high school, a career quiz pointed her toward wellness and caregiving work, and one option stuck with her: massage therapy. She found a school tucked in the mountains and daydreamed about it for ten years, first finishing a Bachelor’s degree in a completely different field to keep her family happy. The pull toward massage never let up, though. Eventually, she applied to that same school she’d found in that brochure years earlier. Once she got there, everything clicked into place.

A Path Rooted In Curiosity

As a kid, Rhori was always mixing lotions and experimenting with aromatherapy, looking for her own answers to sensitive skin and allergies. That early curiosity turned into a real skill set. She earned a B.S. in Arts Management from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, then trained at the Center for Massage and Natural Health in Asheville. She was licensed in North Carolina before moving to Colorado, and she’s kept learning ever since, adding certifications in reflexology, craniosacral work, cupping, myofascial release, hot stones, and lymphatic massage, plus training as a life coach and Reiki Master.

Helping People Feel Better

For Rhori, the best part of the day is watching a client leave feeling better than when they walked in. She loves the quiet magic of hands-on work, the way touch can ease tension and shift someone’s whole outlook in a single session. Massage changed her own life, and she brings that same care to every table at Balanced Life Chiropractic.

Life Outside the Treatment Room

Outside of work, Rhori is an artist, a writer, and a parent who homeschools her kid with an earth-conscious, hands-on approach. She spends her free time on crafts, homesteading projects, and yoga. She also paints murals, designs tattoos, and sketches for the novels she hopes to publish one day.
